Sr. Nutanix HCL Engineer

“The Job Description”Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix NDB-based DBaaS environments.Standardize and automate provisioning, patching, cloning, and backup operations for supported databases.Integrate NDB with Nutanix Prism Central and existing infrastructure.Implement best practices for database security, backup, DR, and compliance.Develop automation scripts and templates using REST APIs, Python, or Ansible.Collaborate with database and application teams to define and deliver database services.Support database migration and lifecycle operations using NDB.Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).3+ years hands‑on experience with Nutanix NDB (formerly Era).Strong understanding of Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV) and Prism Central.Proficient in automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or REST API scripting.Experience in DBaaS implementation, including backup, cloning, patching, and provisioning.Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery strategies for databases.Experience in supporting production‑grade database environments.Key Skills and AttributesNutanix Database As a Service (NDB) is a must.Proficiency in Nutanix Prism Central and automation tools.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects and deliver results.Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.Nutanix experience on non‑Nutanix hardware is required.Preferred ExperienceExperience with multi‑cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure.Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices as applied to infrastructure automation.Preferred banking experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
