Staff Physician, Preventive Oncology – Internal Medicine / Family MedicineJob SummaryThis is a Consultant Physician position responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD). We are seeking a physician with a strong background in preventive health, specifically in the management of patients at high risk for cancers, to join the Cancer Institute.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide personalized medical care focused on cancer prevention and wellness optimization.Understand risk estimation models for stratification purposes.Interpret germline genetic cancer panels.Manage and monitor high‑risk patients using precision prevention strategies guided by NCCN, ACMG, and other guidelines.Oversee comprehensive medical assessments, diagnostics, and integrative care plans.Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists in oncology, nutrition, genetic counselling, and other subspecialties.Guide patients through advanced screening, early detection, and lifestyle‑based intervention strategies.Contribute to program development in precision and longevity medicine research.Evaluate patients and record applicable notes for treatment records and referrals.Co‑ordinate with other medical and non‑medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.Provide culturally appropriate and sensitive care.Follow ethical and regulatory guidelines.Participate in administrative functions that ensure continued operations, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures.Adhere to individual approved clinical privileges and all Medical Staff policies and procedures.Experience RequirementsFor physicians from Tier 1 countries: at least 2 years of additional experience post‑qualification managing complex, high‑risk medical cases.For physicians from Tier 2 countries: at least 5 years of additional experience post‑qualification managing complex, high‑risk medical cases.Demonstrated interest or certification in Genomics Cancer Risk Assessment.Valid license/registration to practice in home country and/or last employment country.Demonstrated ability to manage a team of health care professionals.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.Proficient in spoken and written English.Education RequirementsMD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.Completion of a specialty qualification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (per recognized specialty certificate list).Previous clinical and administrative experience in oncology high‑risk and/or survivorship programs.Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is located on Al Maryah Island, the heart of Abu Dhabi’s central business district.
