Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and maintaining all electrical systems within the data center to ensure reliable uptime, operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with standards. The role includes supervision of technicians, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with vendors and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems Operation & MaintenanceSupervise and monitor daily operations of data center electrical systems.Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all critical equipment.Monitor and manage UPS systems, PDUs, switchgear, generators, battery banks, and grounding systems.Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance of all electrical assets.Troubleshooting & Incident ManagementRespond to electrical faults and emergencies immediately.Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to avoid downtime.Maintain incident logs and provide root cause analysis (RCA).Data Center Infrastructure SupportCoordinate with mechanical, IT, and facility teams to ensure optimal operations.Ensure proper load distribution on electrical panels and racks.Verify that electrical installations comply with DC standards (ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime Tier standards).Supervision & Team LeadershipSupervise electrical technicians and assign tasks.Conduct toolbox talks, training, and ensure strict adherence to safety procedures.Evaluate team performance and support skill development.Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with electrical safety codes, NFPA, and local regulations.Maintain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.Ensure safety measures for high-voltage work and critical operations.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records of maintenance activities, checklists, and permits.Update as-built drawings, load sheets, and asset registers.Prepare weekly/monthly reports on electrical systems performance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
