The role involves teaching and supporting the creation, maintenance, and delivery of the English programme to specific standards in the Foundation department.The instructor will participate in regular feedback meetings with Senior Instructors to support continuous improvement. They must demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to professional development and improvement initiatives within the QTI.Key ResponsibilitiesEffectively deliver the curriculum in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.Ensure military students progress well against CEFR standards.Support departmental development by identifying opportunities for improvement.Maintain a culture of reflection and improvement, demonstrating passion for teaching.Collaborate with other instructors to maximize student success.Report student progress, attendance, and behavior to management.Engage with performance management policies to meet objectives.Core ActivitiesOperate within SHE guidelines, undertake all mandatory training.Teach English to military students preparing for engineering programs.Apply consistent classroom behavior rules and carry out administrative tasks.Provide cover teaching when necessary and support students throughout their learning journey.Plan and deliver lessons using differentiated techniques, develop supplementary materials, and provide feedback.Maintain operational performance, support course development, and use appropriate communication channels.Record, share, and analyze student data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Maintain positive relationships with military personnel and respect military environment rules.RequirementsQualified teacher status with relevant education/training (e.g., CELTA, TESOL, PGCE, MA, BA in ELT/TESOL/Education).Relevant experience teaching English, especially to international students; Middle East experience is desirable.Experience with IELTS teaching and examinations.Experience in a military setting is desirable.Strong soft skills across a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency with teaching and administrative technologies.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Education and TrainingIndustry: Defense and Space Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
