If you have excellent English communication skills and are ready to contribute to the most innovative platform on the planet, Tether is the place for you.</p><p><b>Are you ready to be part of the future?</b></p><h3>About the job</h3><p>We’re looking for a Technical Lead to lead our development efforts in building cross-platform peer-to-peer applications using the Pear Runtime and the broader Holepunch ecosystem.</p><p>You’ll define technical direction, support engineers in day-to-day development, and act as the main liaison with Holepunch engineers – translating upstream developments into actionable work, coordinating releases, and contributing to the evolution of our peer-to-peer ecosystem.</p><h3>What you’ll work on</h3><ul><li>Act as the primary technical liaison between our dev team and the Holepunch engineers.</li><li>Lead knowledge-sharing sessions between the teams for everyone to stay up-to-date.</li><li>Build and maintain flagship desktop (Electron) and mobile (React Native) applications that run fully peer-to-peer with zero central servers.</li><li>Design beautiful, performant cross-platform UX for file sharing, messaging, video calls, and collaborative tools.</li><li>Integrate and extend the Pear Runtime / Holepunch stack (Hypercore, Hyperdrive, Hyperswarm, etc.).</li><li>Ship new features rapidly, participate in code reviews, write tests, and optimize performance.</li><li>Help external partners and the open-source community build on the platform.</li><li>Occasionally contribute improvements and bug fixes back to the underlying open-source modules.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Act as the primary technical liaison between our dev team and the Holepunch engineers.</li><li>Lead knowledge-sharing sessions between the teams for everyone to stay up-to-date.</li><li>Translate product requirements into clear technical plans and architectures aligned with the Holepunch stack.</li><li>Ensure our applications follow a modular approach and are designed according to best practices.</li><li>Coordinate internal and external documentation and training plans.</li><li>Coordinate consolidated feedback from our dev team and external projects to the Holepunch team.</li><li>Guide and mentor the different engineering teams.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong production experience with React Native and/or Electron (shipping apps that real users love).</li><li>A strong background in building and managing modular codebases and creating reusable npm modules.</li><li>5+ years of professional software engineering experience.</li><li>Experience leading small development teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Experience with mobile application stores, browser stores or Desktop stores.</li><li>Very comfortable with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.</li><li>Proven experience designing and building local-first applications where the local data model is the primary source of truth.</li><li>Hands-on experience with local-first data technologies (storage, conflict resolution, event sourcing, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with cross-platform packaging&deployment.</li><li>Fa
