Theywill be responsible for maintaining airworthinessthrough appropriate task delegation andauthorisation on an aircraft oraircraft component. Responsible for meeting agreed delivery targets at atactical level. Demonstrates people management and leadership skills.Demonstrates awareness of broader external dependencies and identifies areasfor continuous improvement.The post holder requires an excellentunderstanding of the approved data set and is competent to supervise personnelcarrying out maintenance instructions in accordance with the organisation’sregulatory framework.Demonstrates a distinct ability to analyze anddiagnose faults to equipment & assemblies, follow diagnostic procedures andwork effectively within a team. Provide guidance to less experienced teammembers in a diverse and dynamic operational environment.Undertaking and completing tasked maintenance& diagnostic activities on the Typhoon aircraft or weaponssystems/components which may include, as appropriate, aircraft ground handling,flight servicing, aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections,repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/orfunctional/system testUndertaking detailedmaintenance, inspection and supervision activities on an aircraft or aircraftcomponents. Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the SOW / Work package using the relevant approved technical information.Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness ofconfiguration management Ensuring staff are sufficientlycompetent and approved for the maintenance tasks allocated to them. Maintainpersonal & teams task authorisation for working on an aircraft orcomponents in accordance with AMC requirements Undertake support tasks within theAircraft or component maintenance facility which are required to maintaincompliance with the MOE and AMC procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control oftooling / test equipment Provide guidance and leadership to theteam. Develops team members using formal assessment processes, e.g. PDR’s,supports and sponsors training requests including ‘on the job training’.Demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and people management skillsin order to exchange complicated information Undertaking fault evaluation and raise ad hocwork cards and for ‘found faults’ during maintenance Ability to scope and carry out independent andvital inspections Supervising the team to ensure that maintenance is undertaken toschedule and highlight any issues, escalate as required. Report on any impactto the wider programme Demonstrating a flexible and proactiveattitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takesdirection appropriately Maintaining personal & teams taskauthorisation for working on the Typhoon or components in accordance withregulatory requirements Ensuring that maintenance is undertaken toschedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstratecurrency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities,sign other personnel’s logbooks as appropriate within your trade and skillsboundaries. If you are an approved designated assessor, undertake authorisationand task competency approvals, and check Pt 145 license application packs priorto submission Ensuring all maintenance activities areappropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained on relevantsystems (IT/paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues andescalate as appropriate Providesupport and guidance, including allocation of tasks to appropriately authorisedmaintenance techniciansCompile appropriate reporting, identification ofany issues, resolving and escalating as appropriate to ensure the maintenanceservicing remains on scheduleRequirementsCompletion ofan Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or Militaryequivalent apprenticeship / qualifications Typically 3+ years’ experienceincluding Typhoon typeAcademicqualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and MaintenanceTyphoon CompositeFlight Servicing#J-18808-Ljbffr
