Location: Saudi Arabia Employment Type: Full-Time About the Organization A leading national non-profit organization in Saudi Arabia focused on vegetation development, ecosystem restoration, and combating desertification. The organization plays a strategic role in advancing environmental sustainability initiatives aligned with national priorities. Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Vegetation Restoration Expert to lead and support large-scale ecosystem restoration and land rehabilitation initiatives. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in vegetation management within arid and semi-arid environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of vegetation restoration and land rehabilitation programs. Develop science-based strategies to combat desertification and enhance ecosystem resilience. Conduct environmental assessments and vegetation surveys. Identify suitable native species and restoration techniques for various ecological zones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners. Monitor project performance and environmental impact using data-driven approaches. Provide technical advisory on vegetation management frameworks and best practices. Contribute to research, reporting, and knowledge development in restoration ecology. Master's or PhD in Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Botany, or a related field. Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in vegetation restoration, land rehabilitation, or ecosystem management. Strong experience in arid and semi-arid ecosystems is highly preferred. Experience working with international environmental organizations or large-scale programs is a plus. Proven ability to manage complex environmental initiatives.
