Accountant

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.Record financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.Financial Statements:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial data to identify trends and assess performance.Audit and Certification:Coordinate and facilitate external audits.Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.Assist in obtaining certifications required by regulatory authorities or stakeholders.VAT Filing:Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations.Maintain records of VAT transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.Payroll Processing:Manage payroll processing activities, including calculation of salaries, deductions, and taxes.Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries.Projections and Budgeting:Assist in the preparation of financial projections and budgets.Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.Vendor Payments:Process payments to vendors and suppliers in accordance with established procedures.Verify invoices, reconcile accounts payable, and address any discrepancies.Daily Ad-hoc Tasks:Handle day-to-day financial tasks as assigned by management.Respond promptly to inquiries and requests for financial information.Monthly Closing of Books:Close books within 7 working days of the next month.Generate monthly reports as requested by management.Invoice to Customer:Prepare timely invoices to customers and share with the customer in the prescribed channel.Corporate Tax Compliance:Maintain books to adhere to corporate tax compliance.RequirementsEducational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA (or currently pursuing) is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT filing, and payroll processing.Prior experience handling audits, budgeting, and monthly book closures.Experience with corporate tax compliance is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
