Join to apply for the Senior Reporter role at IONThe RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Senior Reporter, Middle East, Infrastructure. The Reporter will provide exclusive content on LPs, GPs, fundraising, allocations and commitments concerning the Middle East, and outgoing capital in the infrastructure sector. The reporter will take a leading role primarily feeding content into ION Analytics' Infralogic publication, as well as providing support to other products within the group.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, advisorsShape coverage of LP and GPs, including their allocations, commitments, targets and people movesWrite 15 stories a month on the thriving market, with USD 75bn infrastructure deals closed in last 10 years and USD 50bn pipeline. Projects in the pipeline include in power, transportation, and the oil and gas industryGenerate ideas for longer-form coverage, and apart from writing own content work with Infralogic data and research teams to ensure accurate, exclusive and market-scooping news and analysesAssist with ION Analytics’, primarily Infralogic’s, events with content creation, panel moderation and speakingWork with the EMEA editor, senior editors, and collaborating with colleagues across the group, to support content creation targeted at ION Analytics’ key customer segmentsMaintain high standards of copy and adhering to group-wide compliance policiesRequired Skills, Qualifications And ExperienceKnowledge of the financial market, with proven record of reporting exclusivesAt least 5 years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom, with global exposureProven record of breaking news for a media organisation, as well as writing in-depth analysesAbility to spot trends in market data and conduct research to identify and produce reportsTrack record of ability to build network of sources to produce reportsStrong news and analyses writing skillsAbout UsWe’re a diverse group of visionary innovators who provide trading and workflow automation software, high-value analytics, and strategic consulting to corporations, central banks, financial institutions, and governments.
