Discover us at gradiant.com.Role OverviewThe Chemical Sales Engineer / Account Manager will be responsible for supporting sales growth and customer engagement for specialty and commodity water treatment chemicals across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role involves a combination of technical sales, customer relationship management, and business development, working closely with internal technical teams and the regional sales leadership. As operations in KSA are in the early stage, the candidate is expected to work independently, supporting both commercial and coordination activities required to establish and grow the business.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Relationship ManagementSupport development and maintenance of relationships with customers across industrial sectors.Engage with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to understand customer requirements.Conduct regular customer visits across KSA.Technical Sales SupportAssist in promoting water treatment chemical programs for:Cooling waterBoiler systemsRO and wastewater applicationsCoordinate with internal technical teams to support solution proposals.Participate in technical discussions and product presentations.Business Development SupportIdentify new business opportunities within existing and potential customers.Support expansion of product applications within customer facilities.Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and follow-ups.Market CoverageSupport sales activities across key industries including:Oil & GasPetrochemicalsPower and utilitiesWater and wastewater sectorsBuild basic understanding of customer processes and treatment requirements.Channel & Partner CoordinationWork with appointed distributors and channel partners to support business growth.Participate in joint customer visits and technical discussions.Support partner engagement activities as required.Internal CoordinationCoordinate with internal teams including:Technical supportSupply chainFinanceAssist in order processing, follow-ups, and basic reporting.Travel & Field EngagementTravel extensively across KSA to support customer engagement and sales activities.Maintain active field presence to support business growth.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)4–7 years of experience in industrial chemical sales or water treatmentExperience in KSA market preferredExposure to specialty and/or commodity chemicalsFluent in Arabic and English (Mandatory)Willingness to travel extensively across KSAKey CompetenciesBasic technical understanding of water treatment applicationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommercial awareness and willingness to learnAbility to work independently in a dynamic environmentTeam collaboration and coordination skillsAdditional NotesThis is an individual contributor roleThe position requires flexibility to support multiple functions during the initial business setup phaseGrowth opportunities are available based on performance and business expansionGradiant is an equal opportunity employer.
