Consultant Internal Medicine or Hospitalist

OverviewWe are looking for a Hospitalist / Consultant Internal Medicine for a leading hospital in Abu Dhabi UAE.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage all inpatients admitted to the Hospitalist service during scheduled hoursPerform initial history and physical exam on admission where appropriateLead inpatient team to develop timely and appropriate discharge planning and transition of care to the primary care physician or medical designated facilityProvide coverage for other hospitalists patients when working outside of the regular business hoursWork closely with acute care managers in order to coordinate both inpatient care smoothly and transition of patient to other care settingsWork closely with and communicate effectively with primary care physicians for all hospital admissionsEvaluate and manage ER admissions as appropriateWork closely with other consultants and hospital staff in a manner that reflects the hospital s mission and core valuesMaintain lines of communication open with patients and familiesAdvise hospital in the development and implementation of inpatient guidelines to care and critical pathways in conjunction with key specialty partnersInpatient experience is a mustRequirementsTwo years practice in Internal Medicine with experience managing inpatients preferredExperience as a Hospitalist preferredCertifications/Other requirements as applicableMust have effective communication skills with both lay and clinical people from many different cultural backgroundsMust be able to work effectively with hospital medical staff nursing staff and administrationMust be able to deal rapidly with changing situationsExcellent oral and written English and Arabic is a mustInpatient experience is a mustArabic speakers or Western nationals with American Board certification is preferredWork Location ABU DHABI UAE.Follow the Black Pearl channel on WhatsApp.To view other vacancies we have please check our website and follow us on our social media accounts LinkedIn / Facebook / Twitter / InstagramDisclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any form to charge our candidates just to process or consider their application for any of our available vacancies.
