Job Title: Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional EffectivenessNote: The position accepts unaccompanied candidates only.Classification: Institutional EffectivenessJob PurposeThe Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for leading and overseeing all quality assurance, assessment, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness activities. The role ensures compliance with national and international accreditation standards, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and supports data-driven decision-making across academic and administrative units.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee institutional quality assurance, assessment, and institutional effectiveness processesCoordinate institutional and program-level accreditation activities, including self-studies, reports, and site visitsEnsure ongoing compliance with national and international accreditation and quality standardsDevelop and maintain institutional assessment frameworks and performance indicatorsCollaborate with academic and administrative units to support continuous improvement initiativesMonitor, analyze, and report institutional effectiveness data to senior leadershipSupervise quality assurance, accreditation, and assessment staffSupport strategic planning and policy development related to quality and effectivenessPrepare reports and documentation for leadership, governing bodies, and accrediting agenciesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of higher education quality assurance, accreditation, and assessment practicesDemonstrated experience managing accreditation or institutional effectiveness processesExcellent organizational, analytical, and project management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to work collaboratively across academic and administrative unitsHigh level of integrity and ability to handle confidential informationProficiency in Microsoft Office and institutional data or reporting systemsEducation and ExperienceDoctoral degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Institutional Research, or a related field (required)Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, accreditation, or institutional effectiveness within higher educationPrior leadership or supervisory experience requiredAbout American International UniversityAmerican International University (AIU) is a private institution in Kuwait, founded in 2019, offering undergraduate programs based on the American higher education model.
