We seek staff that thrives on challenges, both technically and commercially, staffs who wish to work as part of a professional team.We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced engineer to fill the position of Electrical Engineer to work on our project in Dubai, UAE.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical design, technical analysis and/or analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutionsInteract with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers and clients. Includes attending meetings as required, writing reports and giving presentationsEstimating material, construction, labor costs and project timescalesResponsible for testing installation, overseeing inspection and maintenance programsEnsure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulationsOther duties as assignedQualifications and ExperienceBachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or universityRegistered Electrical and Professional Engineers is requiredMinimum of 12 years combined experience as Design Electrical Engineer including building services and construction of hotels, out of which minimum 5‑7 years with internationally renowned consultants/construction firmAdvanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design, familiar with applicable codes, standards and acceptable industry practicesMust have experience in a multi‑discipline engineering design or EPC projectsFamiliarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating is also importantRequired to prepare written specifications and contract documentsMust be pro‑active, adaptable and a motivated team playerFluency in English/Arabic language in both verbal and written communication skills is requiredKey competencies and valuesClient focus – differentiating through tailored skills and depth of client understandingExcellence – striving for excellence, recognising that excellence is defined by our clientsTrust – building and retaining relationships of trust with our clients, colleagues and business partnersTeamwork – working together as a team for the Group, not just the individualResponsibility – taking responsibility for our performance and our safetyPeople – we create an environment for people to realise their full potentialAt Hyder we believe in rewarding our employees for their commitment and endeavours and have designed a flexible benefits package that we feel will suit all of our team.
