TECHNICIAN I (MECH)Base Location: OPERATIONS (REFINING)Reports to: SR. MECHANICAL ENGINEER I MECHANICAL ENGINEERPrimary Purpose of Job:To carry out or assist in the maintenance & repair of Rotary and stationary equipment installed at Refinery, Berth 6, BSV3 and Station C1 & C2 at Hamad Inti. Airport (HIA).Responsibilities:Carries out or assists in the maintenance and repair of rotating and stationary equipment which includes small pumps, compressors, vessels, columns, furnace, heat exchangers, etc. Also does preventive maintenance & monitoring and repair of old and new machinery in the Refinery.Receives verbal/written instructions from Sr. Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Senior Technician for performing maintenance work, which includes monitoring of operational parameters, obtains permits, organizes tools and tackles and assists in performing maintenance work.Assists in carrying out preventive maintenance of rotary & stationary equipment, repair and replace the defective parts and attend start-up of equipment.Assists in carrying out assembly and disassembly of pumps, compressors, and mixers and renewing of bearings and seals, alignment of pumps and compressors, etc.To perform the lubrication of the rotary equipment including checking / filling lube oil/ grease in bearing housings, oil consoles, crank cases etc. Replacement and cleaning of lube oil systems, filters, lube oil sight glasses, hydraulic oil filters, maintain auto greasing and drip feeding systems etc. Recommend/ request asset integrity team to perform oil analysis, if required.Participates in annual turnarounds & shutdowns.Assist in monitoring, repairing & rectifying rotary and stationary equipment to keep 100% plant availability.Fully comply with QATARENEGRY Refinery HSE Procedures.Qualifications & Experience:Diploma/lndustrial school certificate (ITI) with 2 years technical tra equivalent.Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance & repair of Rotating equipment in a Refinery/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical company.Minimum level of 3 in English communication skills (oral/written).Capable of using Computer for Creating permits / Viewing SAP orders / notificationsetc.Age limit: not more than 45 years old.#J-18808-Ljbffr
