Join Ahya as an Lead / Associate, Climate Science (KSA) and support the region’s net-zero transition.We are looking for an experienced climate science professional to own methodological rigor across Ahya’s core products. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who blends deep cross-sector expertise in GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2 & 3), reduction initiatives, and disclosure frameworks. You’ll work cross-functionally with data science, engineering, and business development to help position Ahya as the partner of choice for enterprises, financial institutions, and regulators across the KSA.What you'll doProvide technical expertise in GHG accounting (scope 1, 2 and 3) and sustainability reporting;Apply knowledge of GHG accounting methodologies, standards, and reporting frameworks such as GHG Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), IFRS S1 and IFRS S2;Develop tailored sustainability strategies and net-zero transition plans for various clients that align with their goals and regulatory requirements;Research and communicate key emerging information and trends relating to GHG accounting, climate change policy and carbon markets;Assist the business development team by contributing to the creation of tailored presentations, advisory content, and supporting strategic engagements;Based out of Riyadh, KSA, with strong understanding of the local market and regulatory landscape;Minimum bachelor’s degree / Masters (preferred) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Economics or similar discipline;Prior work experience in sustainability consulting, sustainability departments, or technology start-ups in climate, sustainability or development sectors;Extensive knowledge of GHG protocol accounting methodologies including Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) guidelines;Understanding of key reporting methodologies including GHG Protocol, SBTi, IFRS S-1, IFRS S-2, GRI, TCFD, CSRD;Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s climate and sustainability policies and regulatory framework, including Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative;Excellent quantitative and analytical;Commercial acumen with comfort navigating both public and private sectors;Strong research, design and presentation skills;Time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing and effectively managing multiple tasks and assignments with competing demands;Fluent in Arabic and English.What we’re offeringA high-impact leadership role at the forefront of climate-tech innovation in the region;A chance to work on real-world decarbonisation projects in partnership with enterprises, regulators, and policymakers in Saudi Arabia and across the region;A high-ownership role with direct influence on strategy, partnerships, and policy engagement;The opportunity to be part of KSA’s net-zero transition, contributing directly to the country’s climate and sustainability agenda;Exposure to regional and global climate-tech ecosystems, with opportunities to represent Ahya at high-level forums;Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
