Senior Financial Analyst-Business Support & Analytics

OverviewResponsible for developing and completing the management reports and the production of a variety of ad-hoc reports and checks for accuracy and compliance with management requirements, reconciling and forecasting internal accounts, supervising and overseeing the duties carried out by the Financial Analyst to ensure that work produced is accurate and timely by establishing necessary financial and control systems. Also responsible for budget preparation and planning process by working with department heads for their budget submission, assessing supervisor in calculations impacting budget for revenue and expense and finally assessing supervisor in preparing a finial presentation for the board.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and complete month-end management reports and presentations for the boardAnalyzes financial data and relevant information and interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performancePrepares a variety of ad hoc reports as and when required by Management covering areas such as budget information, data comparison and benchmarking information and checks for accuracy and compliance with Management requirementsConducts complex studies to determine the cost of business activitiesRecommends budget adjustments and cost improvement measurementsDetermines and analyses complex statistical and financial data and relevant information; interpreting data to project a financial probabilityDevelops financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysisEstablishes and oversees financial and control systems and proceduresSupervises the analysis of obtained information and reviews all work prior to submission to management to check reports for accuracy and good presentationManages to work with the Financial Analyst when required to acquire financial and quantitative information, using various internal and external sources to ensure timely submission of such data to ManagementOversees the duties assigned to the Financial AnalystProvides work direction and ensures that work produced and submitted to the management is accurate and within established timeframesProvides on the job training and orienting the team during course of workPromotes a service oriented attitude in addressing employee queries effectivelyManages to develop and maintain an appropriate mechanism for sharing data, to aid financial analysis and reportingPrepares budget calculation and advises supervisor/management on budget scenarios and sensitivity analysisDevelops budget and rolling forecasts templates and update them to be concurrentFacilitates and use relevant systems for budget preparation and trackingAccountabilitiesEnsures completeness and accuracy of reporting package, general accounting, and month end close processEnsures timely completion and validation of report before sending out to manager’s for reviewMaintains collaborative and effective relationship with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, and regulatory guidelines, which may influence assigned functionsAssists with answering employees queries and concerns during their service at the facilityEstablishes and maintains a mutually beneficial relationship with similar level staff in related external organizationsLiaises closely with the management and finance in order to discuss reporting requests and findings to ensure that management requirements are fully and accurately metQualificationsExperience:Required:4-6 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar roleDesired:Experience in a large healthcare facilityEducational Qualification:Required:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance/Commerce or relevant field OR Diploma in relevant field with 3 years of additional experienceDesired:Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Business Administration or relevant fieldAbout UsAt SSMC, we firmly believe that the human touch is a fundamental part of care.
