Job Description

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure program in Riyadh under our PMC scope. The role involves overseeing complex mechanical utility networks, facility buildings, mechanical systems integration, and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities through all project stages—design, construction, and handover.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder coordination abilities, and a proven record of managing multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects.Responsibilities1. Infrastructure Utility NetworksOversee mechanical engineering components related to complex infrastructure utility networks, ensuring compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.Review design drawings, method statements, and technical submittals related to utility systems.2. Facility BuildingsManage mechanical works associated with facility buildings, including small structures such as restrooms, service blocks, pump rooms, and similar facilities.Ensure all building mechanical systems meet safety, performance, and quality standards.3. Water Treatment Systems (WTP)Review and supervise mechanical works related to Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and associated systems.Coordinate with water infrastructure teams and asset owners to ensure smooth integration and commissioning.4. Construction & Site ManagementManage and guide site teams, providing technical support and direction to contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.Conduct site inspections and ensure all mechanical activities align with project timelines and QA/QC procedures.5. Stakeholder CoordinationCoordinate effectively with:Asset ownersDiscipline leadsProject controlsConstruction supervision teamsExternal authoritiesResolve technical issues and interface challenges across multiple project streams.6. Codes, Standards & ComplianceEnsure all mechanical systems comply with:Relevant mechanical codes and standardsLocal authority regulationsInternational best practicesReview contractor compliance and provide technical recommendations.7. Documentation & Technical ManagementOversee all mechanical project documentation from design through to handover.Lead the preparation, review, and approval of:Mechanical design packagesTechnical submittalsAs‑built documentationO&M manualsProvide strong technical leadership during the Testing & Commissioning stage.Ensure T&C plans, procedures, checklists, and documentation meet project and stakeholder requirements.Support system handover processes and ensure completeness of all deliverables.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, ideally on large-scale PMC infrastructure projects.Strong background in:Utility networksWTP or related water infrastructureFacility building mechanical systemsT&C for mechanical systemsDemonstrated ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.Excellent understanding of mechanical codes and standards.Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.SCE certificate is mandatory#J-18808-Ljbffr
