Job Description

Warehouse SupervisorLocationQatar (Mesaieed / Ras Laffan)OverviewA leading industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee materials warehouse operations across key sites in Qatar. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance. You will play a key role in supporting supply chain operations, optimising inventory control, and leading a small team to deliver reliable service to internal stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on professional with strong warehouse, logistics, and leadership experience within a heavy industry environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, and issuing of materialsEnsure accurate documentation and control of all warehouse transactionsMonitor inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance metricsDevelop and implement strategies to optimise costs, improve efficiency, and rationalise inventoryCoordinate inspections, material handling, and issuing plans with internal stakeholdersAllocate tasks and manage workload distribution across warehouse teamsPlan and secure resources required for operational activities and projectsReview and approve timesheets, overtime, and service‑related invoicesManage external storage facilities and service contractsEnsure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standardsInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actions where requiredDrive continuous improvement in warehouse processes, systems, and layoutOversee handling and storage of specialised materials, including chemicals where applicableCoordinate logistics activities such as shipments, gate passes, and material movementsPrepare reports on warehouse performance, stock variances, and operational metricsStakeholder CoordinationLiaise with internal departments including procurement, finance, operations, and planningCoordinate with suppliers, contractors, and logistics providersSupport material movements, urgent shipments, and documentation requirementsEngage with relevant authorities and external parties as requiredLeadership and Team ManagementSupervise and support warehouse personnel to ensure safe and efficient operationsProvide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team membersIdentify training and development needs to enhance team capabilityPromote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to proceduresRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline5 to 7 years of experience in warehouse or materials management within oil and gas or heavy industryExperience supervising teams in an operational environmentStrong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and materials handlingFamiliarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred, including warehouse management modules)Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience within petrochemical or large industrial environmentsExposure to advanced warehouse systems and digital toolsKnowledge of handling regulated or hazardous materialsAdditional InformationCandidates must be eligible to work in Qatar (local hire or valid sponsorship required)Working knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not essentialRole requires strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence#J-18808-Ljbffr
