Job Title: Construction Lead – Preservation (Offshore Major Projects)Location: Onshore / Offshore Project Site (Project-based), QatarContract Type: 3-year contractSchedule: Project DependentPosition SummaryAn opportunity is available for an experienced Construction Lead specialising in preservation activities to support a major offshore energy development. The role is responsible for overseeing preservation planning, execution, and surveillance across fabrication, storage, transportation, and installation phases for large-scale offshore facilities.You will ensure that preservation standards are implemented effectively across contractor and subcontractor activities, supporting safe, high-quality, and schedule-driven project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPreservation Planning and ExecutionOversee planning, preparation, and execution of preservation activities for offshore platform fabrication and associated yard operationsEnsure implementation of approved preservation plans for equipment and materials during storage, transport, and installationDevelop and implement preservation surveillance plans for procured equipment and materialsConstruction and Fabrication OversightSupport execution of offshore topsides fabrication activities in alignment with safety, quality, and schedule objectivesReview contractor progress reports and identify critical risks or deviationsParticipate in construction walkdowns to verify preservation complianceContractor and Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operations stakeholdersEnsure alignment between company and contractor teams to resolve technical and execution issuesSupport coordination across construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phasesQuality, Compliance and SafetyEnsure compliance with project safety, health, environmental, and quality standardsParticipate in risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and technical coordination sessionsReview deviations from construction standards and provide technical inputContinuous Improvement and Lessons LearnedCapture and implement lessons learned from previous and ongoing projectsContribute to project REX (Return on Experience) initiativesPromote continuous improvement across construction and preservation activitiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific disciplineMinimum 8 years of experience in large-scale oil and gas construction projectsStrong background in offshore or major fabrication yard environmentsExperience in preservation, construction execution, or completionsStrong understanding of offshore facilities, fabrication processes, and project execution methodsExperience working with contractors and multidisciplinary teamsStrong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
