Head of Software Engineering

We are partnering with a leading FS organization to appoint a Director of Engineering to lead and scale a critical engineering function.This is a senior leadership role focused on shaping engineering strategy, driving modern development practices, and establishing strong governance to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple teams.The role is ideal for candidates currently operating at Exec Engineering level within complex, enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise architectureLead and scale multiple engineering teams, driving a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvementEstablish and enforce engineering governance frameworks, including standards, controls, and best practicesDrive adoption of modern engineering practices such as Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native developmentEnsure delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing technology solutionsCollaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to align priorities and deliver valueMonitor and improve engineering performance through KPIs (velocity, quality, incident management)Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teamsWhat We’re Looking ForLeadership & Strategic ThinkingProven experience leading large-scale engineering organizationsStrong track record in defining and executing engineering strategy at enterprise levelExperience working closely with business and architecture stakeholdersGovernance & Delivery ExcellenceDemonstrated experience implementing engineering standards, frameworks, and governance modelsStrong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure engineering practicesFocus on quality, performance, and continuous improvement at scaleTechnical BackgroundExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and modern architecture patternsPeople & Stakeholder ManagementAbility to lead, mentor, and scale engineering teamsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across senior leadership#J-18808-Ljbffr
