Every customer agreement, vendor contract, and partnership carries both opportunity and risk - and how we manage that balance directly impacts revenue, reputation, and operational efficiency.As a Legal Associate, you will own the day-to-day execution of commercial legal work, acting as the primary legal partner to Sales, Customer Success, HR, Marketing, and Procurement. This role is designed for a commercially minded legal professional who can operate independently within defined guardrails, while exercising sound judgment on when escalation to senior leadership or external counsel is required.What You'll Do1. Commercial Contracting & Negotiation (Primary Scope)Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, NDAs, SOWs, DPAs, and vendor and partner contractsLead standard and mid-risk negotiations with customers and vendors, applying approved legal and commercial guardrailsIdentify non-standard, high-risk, or corporate-impacting clauses and escalate them appropriately for senior legal review and approvalDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve contract playbooks, fallback positions, and redline guidance to support Sales, Customer Success, and Procurement teamsSupport contract lifecycle management end-to-end, including version control, execution tracking, renewals, and monitoring of contractual obligations2. Internal Legal Support & Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as the first point of legal contact for commercial and operational teams on contract-related mattersWork closely with Sales, Customer Success, HR, Marketing, and Procurement to provide timely, practical legal supportReview internal policies and processes that impact contractual rights, intellectual property, data protection, and commercial riskSupport the Marketing team with legal guidance related to campaigns, promotions, CRM usage, and advertising complianceProvide business-focused legal advice that balances risk awareness with operational realities and escalation frameworks3. Regulatory, Data Protection & IP SupportAdvise on contractual data protection obligations and support the implementation of approved privacy, data processing, and security clausesMonitor relevant legal and regulatory developments that may affect Lucidya’s commercial and operational activitiesSupport intellectual property protection efforts, licensing matters, and the use of third-party technologies and tools4. Disputes & External Counsel CoordinationSupport dispute and claim management by assisting with documentation, evidence gathering, and internal coordinationLiaise with external counsel under the direction of senior legal leadership, ensuring effective information flow and follow-upAssist with preliminary dispute resolution processes where applicable5. Risk Management & Legal EnablementProactively identify contractual and operational legal risks and recommend practical mitigation approachesConduct legal research and prepare clear, well-structured internal guidance notes, summaries, and advisory materialsContribute to legal enablement initiatives, including the development of templates, training materials, and contract standardization effortsWho You AreYou have a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)You have 3 - 5 years of experience in commercial legal workYou have proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a SaaS, technology, or fast-growing environmentExposure to multi-jurisdictional or regional legal work is a strong advantageYou have a solid understanding of data protection laws, employment regulations, and general corporate lawYou have strong legal research skills with the ability to produce clear, well-structured legal memos and advisory notesExperience with contract lifecycle management, legal documentation, and version control tools is a plusWhat the hiring process will look likeScreening call with TATechnical interview with the hiring managerCase study discussion or practical exercise (if applicable)Offer#J-18808-Ljbffr
